This is the constitution ("Constitution") of
Scottish Ladies Open Tour
("The Organisation").
2. Aims
and Objectives- The Paul Lawrie Golf Centre Scottish Ladies Open
Tour is a non profit-making developmental mini circuit of annual golf
competitions, designed to help raise the standard of lady professional
golfers who are not members of the Ladies European Tour so that they can
become good enough to gain pass marks at the LET Qualifying School.
The Tour is also aimed a girl or lady amateurs with single-figure
handicaps so that they can test themselves by playing alongside lady
professionals and find out if they are good enough (a) To turn
professional and (b) To prepare for Q School to the LET
Tour.
("Objectives")
- The Organisation shall consist
of the Founders and the members
- The founders reserve the right to refuse/terminate membership of anyone who refuses to agree to/abide by the Tour Regulations or the Constitution.
- Any female professional golfers and female amateurs with a recognized handicap of 9 or less can apply for membership.
- In accepting membership a person agrees to abide by the constitution of the Organisation and the rulings of the Founders
- The interpretation of the constitution shall be vested in the Founders, who shall decide all questions relating to the Organisation, save those specified in or involving an amendment to the constitution.
- The Founders may decide upon changes in classes of membership or subscriptions/fees at its discretion
4. Finance - All monies raised by or on behalf of the Organisation (less expenses) shall be applied to
further the objects of the Organisation and for no other purpose.
- Founders are responsible for the finances of the Organisation
- The financial year
of the Organisation ends on 31st December
- Proper accounts
shall be kept of all sums of money received and paid out by the Organisation
- The funds of the Organisation shall be lodged at a bank or building
society in an account in the name of the Organisation
- The Organisation does not hold material assets or intangible assets.
5. The Founders - Colin Farquharson and Nicola Melville are the founders of the organisation ("The Founders").
- The founders take responsibility for the day to day running and management of the organisation.
- Any member may submit a proposal ("Proposal") by contacting the Founders who will have the final decision and, if appropriate, will put it to a vote.
- In the event of the Organisation ceasing to exist, and following the
discharge of all debts and liabilities, any assets at the time of
dissolution shall be distributed by the Founders. No member shall
obtain or benefit from any such assets of the Organisation.
7. Review of Constitution - This constitution shall
be reviewed as necessary.
- Any alteration to the constitution shall require a two thirds
majority of members when put to vote.
- In the event of any question or matter arising which is not provided
in the constitution, such question or matter shall be dealt with by
the Founders, whose decision shall be final.
