Tour Regulations

The Ladies Tartan Tour (known as 'The Tour') Regulations 2015


1. ELIGIBILITY FOR ENTRY
The Ladies Tartan Tour is open to the following:

1.All female PGA members and Registered trainees
2.Non-PGA female professionals who are members of a recognised Tour subject to the payment of a £70 affiliation fee
3.Non-PGA female professionals who were a member of the Scottish Ladies Open Tour during the 2013 season subject to the payment of a £70 affiliation fee
4.Amateurs with a current playing handicap of nine (9) or better as recognised by their respective CONGU or Federation Handicapping Scheme, subject to the payment of an affiliation fee of £40 

Note: Amateur Status
It is not a breach of the Rules of Amateur Status, as approved by R&A Rules Ltd, for an amateur golfer to file an entry for and play in any Ladies Tartan Tour Event provided that, in advance of play, and in writing, she waives her right to any prize money in the competition by filling out the relevant form available from the tournament office at any of the venues.

An amateur golfer who fails to waive her right to prize money before the start of play is in breach of the Rules of Amateur Status, but may apply for reinstatement as an amateur through the R&A.

Amateurs are, however, able to receive prize vouchers up to the value £20 when they finish in the prizes.

2. ENTRY FEES AND CLOSING DATES
  • The entry fee is £75 for Professionals and £50 for Amateurs for each 36 hole tournament.
  • If a tournament should fill up/sell out, a reserved list will be in place for each tournament.

3. MEMBERSHIP. 
  • PGA Professionals: No fee
  • Non PGA Professionals: £70
  • Amateurs: £40

4. FIELD SIZE

  • Field size varies. If a tournament should fill up/sell out, a reserved list will be in place for each tournament.
  • The Paul Lawrie Golf Centre Ladies Invitational at Deeside is limited to a field of 21. Places with be allocated to the top 21 players in the Order of Merit but if any players can't attend then that place will be given to the next player on the list.
5. FORMAT
  • All Tournaments will be decided over 36 Holes of strokeplay, unless decided otherwise by the Tournament Director, with the winner being the player with the lowest gross score.
6. RULES AND CONDITIONS
  • All Tournaments are played under the R & A Rules of Golf, PGA Conditions of Competition and additional local rules of the course being played as supplied by the Tour.

NOTE: Groove and Punch Mark Specification is now in place (Decision 4-1/1) Page 156-158.

The player’s clubs must conform to the groove and punch mark specifications in the Rules of Golf that are effective from 1 January 2010.

7. DISCIPLINE AND ETHICS
  • All members are subject to the PGA code of discipline and ethics. Non-PGA Professionals and amateurs seeking clarity regarding this should contact the PGA in Scotland office for more details.
  • Standard PGA disciplinary procedures will apply to PGA Professionals in breach of the Associations regulations. Non-PGA Professionals and amateurs in breach of the regulations shall be suspended until such time as any disciplinary action is resolved.
8. DRESS CODE 
  • All members must comply with the dress code and Club policy at Tournament venues.
9. WITHDRAWALS/NO SHOW
  • There is no fee for withdrawing from any event before the closing date. Players will have their entry fee fully refunded.
  • Withdrawal after closing date but more than 7 days prior to event: £35 and forfeiture of entry fee
  • Withdrawal less than 7 days but before noon on the day preceding the event: £70 and forfeiture of entry fee
  • Withdrawal after noon on the day preceding the event or absent from the tournament without notification: £250 and forfeiture of entry fee
NOTE: Withdrawal fines may be waived and entry fees refunded when a player produces a valid medical certificate within 7 days of notification of withdrawal.

10. DRAW AND TEE TIMES
  • The draw will be published on the Bluegolf website, one week before the tournament.
  • It is the players responsibility to ensure they are aware of their own tee time
  • Players may request an early or late tee time. This must be done before entries close and is on a first come first served basis.
11. PRIZE MONEY
  • The prize funds are guaranteed and will be available to view on the BlueGolf system
  • A breakdown of the Prize Fund will be available on the BlueGolf system
  • Players are only eligible for prize money if they complete the stipulated number of holes for that tournament. 
  • In accordance with section 1, amateurs are eligible to receive prize vouchers up to a maximum value of £20.
12. ORDER OF MERIT
  • At each tournament Order of Merit points will be allocated based on the players position in the field.
  • At the end of the season, any points ties will be decided by total money won.
* If the winner of the Order of Merit at the end of the season is an amateur, the player will be given the option of accepting first prize but only under the condition that she turned professional first.

13. PRACTICE ROUNDS.
  • Practice rounds must be arranged through the secretary or Professional shop.
  • All players must conduct themselves in a Professional manner and respect the etiquette and dress code of the club.
